Bad News Boris Pickanniny Johnson

They Picked Another Ninny: We learnt this morning that Boris Johnson is the new Mayor of London .

I don't like Livingstone (the departing Mayor)- never have done. Livingstone is a workaholic, nepotism facilitating, contrary lefty-narcissist with less taste in anything than a seafront amusement arcade.

Yet it is a sign that we live in a very Bent Society when a highly educated man like Boris Johnson gets elected to be anything - let alone the Mayor of London. Boris - who has been Foreign Corespondent for The Independent newspaper and Editor of The Spectator magazine once played a part in having a journalist beaten-up simply for annoying an old public school chum from Eton (http://http://www.scriboergosum.org.uk/revamp/515) . Further, amongst so many of his stupidly inappropriate comments, Boris referred to Black children as "pickaninnies" only recently (http://http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23433540-details/I+didn't+mean+to+be+racist+,+claims+Boris/article.do) and commented on his belief that Black people have water melon smiles. And yet Boris "Pickanniny" Johnson himself smiles today when a more rational society would deem him to be unemployable. How has this daft upper-class-twit-of-the-year winner got so far in life?

Standards have gone down hill in a handcart in this country. Or have such twits always done well?

I blame the decline in honour among politicians' such as ex-prime minister Tony Bliar and figureheads such as ex USA President Billy-Liar Clinton and his wife HiLiary. Compared to them Boris Johnson does not seem out of place as a top-politician. How bent is that?

Will Boris lie to us too?

We know already - by his past performances and the fact that he has been rewarded despite them - that he will let us and himself down time and again.

I wonder what odds I'd get at the bookie that his first blunder will be a racist one? Or would he being caught out in a lie be a better bet?

I'm betting on it being a big fat lie. Just wait...won't be long.
