White Coat Crime?

Are some scientists promoting unfounded claptrap because they realise there is a huge market for it among the wishful thinking general public? What is going on when universities employ natural science professors to teach unfounded ideas as though they are something more than voodoo science?

In the general scheme of things how might this lead to 'white coat crime' where commercial organisations and even government departments invest millions in claptrap? And who gains financially?

What's possibly going on?

Is a huge racket passing under the radar of criminal justice systems?

To start the ball rolling on this topic - check out what happened when myth busting criminologist Mike Sutton challenged Professor Berkovich (George Washington University) and the Nobel Laureate and Cambridge University Professor of Physics Brian D. Josephson. To put their reputations where their brains are. Click the reference link on the subject of cold fusion, hot clocking and free energy - below. Then - if you don't wish to read the entire article on Hot Clocking (cold fusion by another explanation) you can if you wish go directly to the 'comments section' at the end of it.

Who will win the Best Thinking debate, the experts or the rational (non-expert in physics) criminologist? Perhaps the most telling question we (as students of deviance) should ask is: How and why is such a debate even possible? What on Earth is going on here?
