CAMERON'S WEDGE: Democracy in action with Gonzo Criminology

As his time in leadership begins to define him we are starting to learn what kind of a man Prime Minister and former Bullingdon Buffoon David Cameron is.

Cameron clearly has an out-of-touch and infantile tendency to make off-the-cuff widely irrational and reckless decisions, which are informed by nothing more than a buffoon's irrational whim.

(1) We saw him ludicrously involve the deluded and irrational self-publicist Bill Bratton (the man who's warped reasoning effectively means he claims to have reduced crime across the western industrialised world for the past 15 years) as his panicked response to the wild-copy-cat riots and looting of 2011. So what happened with that one? Sounds like someone had a word in the Prime Minister's ear. How embarrassing!

(2) We saw him make a ludicrously unjust child benefit policy with his panicky must make cuts quick announcement that his government will push ahead with cutting child benefit for all households where one tax payer is paying higher rate tax. As anyone with half a rational brain spotted straight away this would create one of the most unfair government policies in living memory. As the Daily Mail rightly point out: "He was repeatedly pressed, but could not defend, the anomaly of two working parents earning up to £88,000 a year keeping the benefit while a mother with a partner earning just over the £44,000 40 per cent tax rate threshold loses it.
